In a relationship when things are getting difficult, to go and talk with a therapist can seem challenging. Often there can be a reluctance from one or both members of the relationship to attend a therapist. With Walk & Talk Therapy, a very relaxed environment is offered to help with the process of both people gaining a better understanding of where and what the difficulties are in the relationship. It is particularly suitable for people who do not like the idea of sitting face to face with a therapist or people who feel more comfortable in the outdoor environment.
The method of couples therapy is the same as what a therapist would do in the indoors but it is done while walking side by side in a relaxed supportive manner. Many couples have found that partaking in couple’s therapy while walking has been of particular benefit by offering a more suitable environment to engage in the work that is needed to reconcile differences.
